I shopped for 8 weeks, went to various stores and handled various brands. Some sets this size were quite expensive $300+. My budget was $80-150, but I did not want cheap stuff. When this went on sale, I grabbed it. Cuisinart is really a good, dependable brand. I liked the set right away from the box. These pans do everything that the non-stick pans do, without the toxins & aged breakdown of coating in those Teflon and Teflon-like pans. The trick to using stainless steel is to use a low flame. The bottom of the pans have a good weight. The handles are good and seem not to heat up quite much...they do not stay "cool" yet don't get as hot as the pan. With stainless steel you must use a low flame, much lower than usual. I got used to it. Cleanup is easy with immediately putting the pan in the sink, fill with water and a squirt of dish soap. Soak a few minutes, easy-peasy sponge clean. Sometimes I use a plastic scrubber, but hardly necessary. I can use silicon implements or metal or wood. I use Pam spray on the saute pans sometimes when cooking. I fry eggs easily in these pans. The pots are a good size. This is really a good, basic starter arranged, and especially for someone who wants to start a cooking hobby. This Cuisinart fixed was a good deal.

I just received the shipment for this and I'm so pleased with what I see! The minute I opened the box I was like whoa! It's lovely! The finishing is so shiny (though I'm sure it wont be as brand new looking once I cook in it). I haven't tested it out yet but I adore what I see so far and I can't wait to cook in it! I've been wanting a complete cookware established for a long time now and I'm so excited to have finally bought one. It took me weeks to decide between the hard-anodized nonstick 10pc established and this stainless steel 10pc arranged but I finally decided on this one because I figured that stainless steel is more longer lasting and more practical (??). No regrets so far - Im super pleased with my invest in!

This is often a good basic arranged of stainless cookware. It has met my expectations. It has a heavy and solid feel about it. The handles stay cool when cooking. When cooking eggs in one of the skillets, I used enough oil, but the eggs stuck to the skillet and the clean up was harder than I expected. With a soap and water soak, elbow grease and some bartenders keeper, it's shiny like new. Other than that, I've been really satisfied.

These utensils are not what we expected. They are light gauge and heat up to rapidly. Food sticks to them and are difficult to clean.

I researched stainless steel cookware and found this to be the best deal out there!! I am extremely pleased with my established because it's easy to handle and cooks evenly and best of all it looks good and cleans up beautifully. I have fried bacon, pork and scrambled eggs and never had a problem with anything sticking (just spray with oil). I just let it soak for a few minutes and everything comes clean.

I wanted to like this item - we were excited to invest in it but it was a total failure. I have used the items twice and already thrown them out. Everything you cook in them sticks and cant be cleaned out. Dont invest in these items.

I bought these as a single guy living alone, and now use them married and cooking family meals. These have lasted though years of abuse from sitting unwashed, to repeated trips through the dishwasher, to having food burnt into them in the oven. I can't think of a bad thin to say about them. I adore it when products last, and these have.

This is a really nice set; it has all the pieces I typically need in my daily cooking. (Although a 2 quart saucepan would be a nice addition). I was replacing a nonstick set and worried about how food would stick and the amount of butter, oil, etc. I might have to use, BUT I have been so pleasantly surprised. As mentioned in other reviews, it quickly shows signs of use with some color variation, but they are for use after all and not display pieces. If that is of importance for you, though, then I would definitely suggest getting Bar Keepers cleaner.
